And so have I!!!!
Weeeeee, the squirrels are back...
I feel it is my civic duty...
Hey DWB's! It's Halloween...and do you know what that means? Do ya? Do ya? That's right, as Mom said...it's my 3rd BARKDAY!!! (Dad says it's no coincidence that my birthday falls on the devil's holiday...but whatever...he's STOOPID!)
So far it's been great. Dad got me this super awesome special Howloween Barkday hat...(don't worry, that's not a real spider...but am I not super adorable in orange?)
Plus Dad let me do ALL the stuff I LOVE to do today...
Hanging w/my BFF in the yard...
Play ball...
Eat Sherman's Super Stinky Salmon cookies (Thanks Mom!)
Hunt for Squirrels AND play with my ball!!Take Dad for a walk...
I love Walkies!! Let's Go, Let's Go, Let's Goooooooo!!!!
Hi guys! I'm faced with a real dilemma today...
Rest...
Or Play...

Rest AND Play...perfect solution.

A Diva hates to have to choose....

WTF is this THING doing in my house???
I'm not really sure what it is...I think it's supposed to be a dog??? Mom thinks she's really cute but I don't get it. Anyway, her name is Isabella and apparently she's staying with us for a little while? WTF???
She's practically taking over the whole house!! She stole my rawhides...
Mom & I had a little talk about the whole situation and if I'm nice to this THING, I'm promised an extra trip to the park and a big fat turkey neck. Fine. See how nice I'm being???
Oh...and have I mentioned THIS???
Yeah. WTF??? This is not Funny Farm, people!!
You'll get to hear all about the C.A.T. I have to live with a little later. Sympathy would be greatly appreciated.
This is such a beautiful time of year in the 'burgh. All of the leaves are changing into beautiful colors and the temperature is perfect.
So I said, Hey Mom! Let's go to the Park!!
Mom put me on this super long leash so I'd have room to run and explore. I blend in wit h the leaves so well...bet you can't even find me in this picture!
So why do I have to be on a leash at all? Weelllllll, there are lots & lots of deer roaming around the park this time of year. And I have excellent radar...I spot them from a mile away and point them out.
I see one!
I see another one!
And I would chase them if given the chance. Hence the leash. Mom has some crazy, irrational fear of me getting hooved to death. Whatever.
I found a nice spot for some roaching...in a big pile of stinky stuff. Please ignore her stupid voice...
There were so many leaves covering the trail, we almost got lost! But I sniffed out the way...
It was the perfect day at the park. I love spending time with my Mom...without the little white maniac tagging along.
This picture is for you, Peanut!
My Rottenbuddy, Ben gave me the letter M to play in the Letter Game. My job is to name 10 things I love that start with the letter M. This is gonna be tooooo easy!!
In no particular order...except #1....
1. MOM!!!! Duh...she's best friend and favorite person on earth.
2. Moles...or rather, hunting and killing moles.
3. Merrick. Oh how I love this stuff!
Even if it does come in a pink bag and has "Senior" written on it. I think the Senior part is just a joke. Ahahahahahaaaaa!
4. My Aunties...they take very good care of me.

5. Meat! I don't really discriminate here. I love all kinds of meat, really. And this just might be the most beautiful picture I've ever seen...

6. Heath Miller...OK, OK, my Mom, like, LOVES him...see #1. If he wants to be my new Dad, I think that would be all right.

If anyone else wants to play, let me know & I'll give you a letter...
Hey yinz guys! Thanks for all of the comments to Dad about more WALKIES! It worked...

He has taken some lessons from the Brat Pack's mom on how to take pictures sideways...but you if you tilt your head, you'll see I've got my head gear on and I'm ready to go!
Let's go this way!
Don't worry Dad...I'll take the lead. I won't let you get lost.
Walkie Wednesday rocks!! Thanks for the great idea Khyra! Stay tuned for more weekly walks...next time with VIDEO.
Hey DWB's! Dad FINALLY let me get on the computer to say HI! I have to apologize, I've been really busy lately.
I don't think Dad realized how tough being a single father would be, so I've been helping him! Lola too!
Landscaping around the house...
It's hard work! I'm beat!
Pee-S: Could you guys remind my dad how much I love walkies? I think he forgot!
We're doing great and miss you all - Woof at you soon!
Pee-S.S.: There is no need to mail my Dad a big box of poop now, Joey.
Lots of love and butt wiggles...
Penny
I hope you guys haven't forgotten about me...
Penny & I are doing great. Dad is taking very good care of us. We promise to post more of our adventures and it would really help if you guys gave him a hard time about not taking more pictures of us.
And we still get to see Mom. I get so excited to see her when she comes over that I forget all about that "Don't jump on your Mother" rule, but she doesn't even yell. She even lets me lick her face.
And she brings me presents! I had to pose with her for this picture before I got it and I'm not real happy about having to wait...
Well????? Are you gonna give it to me or what???

Uh Huh...she didn't forget my love of all things TENNIS BALL!! Thanks Mom!

Penny wanted me to tell you all that she misses you very much (especially Peanut) and will be posting soon!
Isn't she lovely...

HAPPY BARKDAY TO MY ONE TRUE LOVE...the most lovely, wonderful, precious...Dot Spot!
Back off boys! I know she's the hottest girl on DWBs, but she's ALL MINE! And she's dreaming of me...
Hope you had a great Barkday, Dot! XOXO...
We love Cubby and we love Legacy Boxer Rescue!! They are currently in a contest to win $10,000 to help more Boxers in need and they need your help.
Currently they are in 3rd place! Not too shabby!! They only need 150 more votes to take over the top spot so head on over to the Care2 website and cast your vote.
In case you need a little more encouragement, take a look at Prada...one of the Boxers they are currently trying to save.
She is just a baby at 3 or 4 months old, and has no hair at all. She has demodectic mange, and her skin is so thin and delicate right now, the grass hurts her feet.
This group does great work guys and really could use the $$. So go vote!!!

Hi guys! I know I haven't been around FUREVER!! I went on a little mini-vacation and then I had to get ready for my BIG MOVE! But let me tell you...I've missed you all terribly.
I know Penny told you I was going to move in with our Auntie Kristen...and the good news is that our Auntie Rachel is at our house all the time. She practically lives there too! I'm so super lucky to have 2 great Aunties to take care of me.
And they're pretty cute too...

So let me tell you a little bit about my new place.
I've got this great yard to relax and catch some rays...oh & this pink blanket, not mine.

I've got a GIANT kitchen...

And this is the big bed I get to sleep in at night...

OK, not really, I'm supposed to sleep on the floor...but I have this rockin' little room with cool wood floors to chill...and nap, if I so chose.

All this great stuff! It's really like a doggie dream come true.
But as hard as I tried, I couldn't help but feel like something was missing.
All right, all right...I missed my Mommy!!!! I know I'm super tuff and you guys would never guess it, but I am a closet Mama's Boy and things just aren't the same without her...
So I moved her in with me!!!
Yep, that's right...Mom is now living with Auntie Kristen and I!! See how happy it makes both of us!!!

We're not going to have Internet access at home for another 2 weeks. It's going to be hard for us to comment on everyone's blogs but we promise to keep up with what's going on with our DWBs family. Penny & Lola will post an update as soon as they can. And no, I don't miss them...
(On a slightly more somber note, Scott & I have decided to part ways after 8 years. It was an amicable split and we will maintain joint custody of the dogs. Penny & Lola will stay with him and I am obviously with Sherman. It's an adjustment for all of us, but we're ready to move on with the next chapter in our lives. Stay tuned...
~Jen)
My, my, my...haven't my brother & sister gotten themselves into quite the predicament??? I've tried to tell them. Suck it up and just get along. But that little white dog is quite the stubborn b*tch.
They need to be more like me...sweet & peaceful. I stay out of trouble.
So I wanted to thank you guys for being such great friends and making Mom & Dad feel better. Mom's eyes have been pretty leaky...and no matter how many times I snort in her face, show her my wiggly kidney bean dance or give her nose kisses, I can't cheer her up like you guys can. She even got these beautiful flowers from my BFF and her family and that REALLY made her smile!
And then we got this great Friendship award from Georgeous
And this Brillante Blog award from Eva (and Brice).

You guys rock!!! We couldn't ask for better friends.
Soooooo, you all probably want to know what's going on. Well, here's the deal.

Sherman is going to stay with Grandma & Grandpap for a couple of weeks. They're not going keep him forever because they have a lot of stuff on their plate. And Baron keeps them on their toes. So while he's away, Lola has to go to the V.E.T. (shhhhh, don't tell her, she doesn't know yet) to make sure there's nothing wrong with her thyroid or anything else, for that matter. And Mom's friend Lilian, who is a trainer from Animal Friends is going to come to our house and put us on a training program. Now I know this sounds kinda crappy, but Lilian is pawesome and always has lots of great, smelly treats with her. Training = liver brownies. W00T! You're all probably thinking...doesn't your Mom do this training stuff too? Well, yes she does, but she wants an outside observer to see if she's missing anything. Another set of eyes never hurts apparently.
If everything goes OK and Lola doesn't become Miss Bitchy pants with me (and I will kick her little white butt if she does...I don't start the fights, but I DO finish them!) then she & I will live happily ever after on Jackman Ave forever. And if not...um, we don't want to talk about that.
Now what about Sherman?? Well, don't feel too bad for him. He's going to be living with our Auntie Kristen when she moves into her new house next month!! Mom is super excited because it's only 5 minutes from our house and we can see him a couple times a week. Or everyday, if we want!!! See, here's the thing...I actually kinda like Sherman. Sometimes when Mom & Dad aren't looking, I give him kisses and try to get him to play with me...not that he ever does. But I'd like to go see him sometimes too.
So that's the plan for now. Subject to change at any point, of course. If you guys could all cross your paws that it works, you'd make my day! And Sherman's. And Lola's.
Oh, and this is for Joe Stains...Go Stillers! Sorry Ethel.
I'm sorry it's taken me so long to post an update on our little situation. You all have been so wonderful with your words of encouragement and support. Scott & I don't know what we'd do without you guys.
Sherman spent a week at Scott's parents house & had a blast. He was in total heaven there. They are home all day so he got tons of attention and 2 walks per day. Their dog, Baron and he got along great and I think it was really nice for Sherman to get out of the hostile environment that had become our house.
While he was gone, the girls had no issues. Penny is pretty passive and is very good at being the peacemaker. Lola just loves her and they pretty much played non-stop.

We have asked Scott's parents if they would consider taking him in permanently. They were going to think about it over their vacation and let us know sometime this week. This is the best case scenario for all involved. But as I mentioned before, it's a big commitment and I don't know if they want the responsibility of 2 dogs again.
If that is the case, we have to start looking for a home for Lola. This is not a healthy situation for any of us. We can only manage this situation so well and I don't have it in me to crate & rotate forever. The stress of fearing Lola could slip through a gate or someone could accidently let them together is way too much for me to handle indefinitely. I honestly believe that if they get into it again, Sherman will end up very seriously hurt. Especially if I'm home alone and cannot break them up.
I should also mention, I took Sherman in this week for a check up and our Vet feels he's in perfect health. We thought he could be sick & Lola was just taking full advantage, but the big lug has a lot of life left in him. For those of you who asked, she'll be 3 in October and is spayed. I will be taking her in for a thyroid check and other tests if we keep her.
I'll be sure to be better about keeping everyone updated. I know we haven't commented much on everyone's blogs but we read them every day. We're still around...just trying to work through this mess. Thanks again for all of the support.
~Scott & Jen
Look what I finally got this weekend! Wallymelon!!

I gave Mom the pathetic, "I'm so neglected look" so she would share....

It works every time...
I posted a couple of weeks ago about Mole season and how I LOVE IT!!

Well, some of you commented that you'd never seen a mole. Let me tell you...you are SO missing out on some very good stuff. Just look at this plump little creature!!
(Would someone tell Penny that this fat little body looks nothing like mine???)
So in the event you guys ever DO see a mole (or hear him digging in your yard), I'd like to give you more details of my skillz.
First, find the little sucker. That's the easy part. Now dig around and throw dirt all over the yard.
Now, this is the most important step so please pay close attention.

Because eventually, the little sucker will come out and then you get to eat him!
Any questions?
So, how was everypups weekend??? Mine was totally pawesome!! I know, I know...how could it be so great if I'm in this jail?
Because I only had to be in jail for a little bit...the rest of the time I did this:
Mom took me to class with her today and I got to show off how good I am and play with lots of other dogs and puppies...
I REALLY wanted to play with this little Sheltie...he was so cute & fuzzy.
But for some reason, he didn't seem to fond of me...
"Why won't you play with me?????"
But he still seemed a little intimidated, so I just ran off to play with some other puppies.
I really liked this girl. Her name is Buttercup and she is of the relentlessly huge variety!

These are trainer Bob's dogs...Oscar & Carmen. We are the demo dogs and we rock!!

This is what I did for the rest of the day...

School is cool, but exhausting!!
Stormy of the Ao4 came up with this really cool Breed tag! She didn't technically tag me, but I figured I'd help get the ball rolling!
Based on your pup-onality, if you were a breed other than the one or ones you are now ... what would you be?
This got me thinking...
I know I'm not ALL Boxer...but I'm pretty close. I think if I were going to be another breed, it would be a Greyhound. I LOVE to run, and run, and run...and I am FAST! No dogs at the park can catch me.
Plus, I hear they get to chase bunnies...I'd be all over that! I'm also super skinny like a Greyhound. Mom is always saying she'd kill for my metabolism.
The rules of the tag game are:
1. Copy the question above and paste it into your post.
2. Answer it - and give a few reasons for why you think you'd be that breed or breeds.
3. Post these rules!
4. Tag ONE other blogger. If there are multiple pups within the same pack/blog, each pup should only respond when he or she is tagged. One at a time!
5. Most importantly, HAVE FUN!
I'm going to tag LOLA from the Forget Sit & Stay gang...
I LOVE this time of year! It's time to go mole hunting!
I wait...

Any of you guys ever caught a mole? Do your pawrents let you eat it? I'll be so jealous if they do...
